Life’s Blessings

          Most of us grew up hearing the old adage to "count your blessings."  Have you ever actually taken a moment to ponder what that means?  When something good happens to you, do you take a minute to feel gratitude for that?  As has often been said, gratitude can give a real boost to your emotional mindset.  If you will make a practice of counting your blessings, you will develop an emotional mindset that is more consistently open to life's blessings and miracles.

True Potential

          Many of us struggle to realize our true potential.  It is difficult when you can't see the bigger picture for your life and don't feel especially motivated.  This happens for a lot of reasons, but most of the time it is because of something taught to you as a child or because of your own defeating self-talk.  A long time ago someone put you down because of your dreams and you just took over for them.  Now it is a struggle to see the possibilities for improving your life. 

You know people who are always taking action on their ideas.  They seem to have an unlimited supply of fire and determination and appear to have everything together.  You know something?  You have it within you to be just as powerful and then some.  No matter what the achievements are to date, even those over achievers have the power to do even more than they have done so far.  Everyone underestimates the true potential they have for this life.  Humans are naturally cautious so don't always test the limits and we accept that we have already reached our potential.  . . . >>> READ MORE

Wisdom of Gratitude

           There is wisdom in practicing gratitude.  You have heard the old saying that what goes around comes around?  This simply means that what you put out reflects back to you in a like manner.  A good example from most everyone's life would be those mornings when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.  What happens if you don't change that attitude immediately is that you meet one grouchy person after another all day long.  That's just what we all need!  There may be some days when the problems of life just dog pile you.  If you are not practicing gratitude, then is seems as if the problems multiply exponentially.  That's the kind of law of attraction action you could do without.  Think about this process for a moment.  If the law of attraction works on the negative side of life so well, how much more will it benefit you if a positive attitude and gratitude comes into play? 

Going with that idea for starters, how about a small test?  First thing tomorrow morning, spend a few minutes doing some affirmations.  State the reasons you are grateful for everyone and everything in your life.  Be thankful for supportive and nurturing friends.  Really get into the feeling of how grateful you are for all the good people in your life and all the good things that have come your way.  Pull those feeling straight into your heart and let them soak in and fill your entire mind.  . . . >>> READ MORE

           Do you ever stop for a moment and think about all the energy you have spent in your life just chasing money?  Do that now.  You have worried about it, cried over it, thought of it, been panicked about it, spent it foolishly, wished for more of it and maybe even did some things you didn't want to do to get it.  That is a lot of work.  I'm as guilty as the next person.  I have lived paycheck to paycheck many times.  I have lived a little better at other times. 

There is an easier way to see the wealth you already have.  How would it feel if you did not have to worry about money at all and it just came to you without effort?  Consider for a moment that you could attract unlimited wealth by keeping your mind-set and actions in the right place.  Imagine being able to turn your life into an amazing journey full of passion.  Does that sound great or what?  It certainly does to me.  There is a way to have wealth, but you may be surprised at the solution.. . . >>> READ MORE

Everyday Creativity

            Being creative is not limited to those in the arts.  You can add everyday creativity to your life.  Doing so will inspire your whole life, not just those occasional times when you chose to indulge your creative side.  There are simple ways to bring creativity into your life every day.

Explode your surroundings with vibrant colors.  Find the color or colors that make you feel your best.  Different colors can have a different effect on your mood.  Red can make you feel more powerful and inspired, so on those days when you feel a little out of touch with your creativity, wear red.  Perhaps just throw on a red scarf or put a red hankie in your suit pocket.  Lavender is good for stress.  Set a pretty candle on your desk even if you can't light it.  The color is soothing and the scent can be very calming.. . . >>> READ MORE

Heart of Affirmations

            What is at the heart of affirmations?  Why do we practice them?  We do it because it brings us strength.  Whenever I feel discouraged, I look at my strengths.  This allows me to turn discouragement into hope and to keep focused on my goals.  I know that I am a kind and caring person.  There are things I'm not so good at, but I work on those all the time.  I always want to grow and learn no matter what age I am. 

What do you see when you look at your strengths?  Are you really smart?  Do you tell a good joke?  Can you persevere when things are rough?  Think about all the things you know about yourself and you will find some wonderful qualities.  I realize that it's easy to get into a pattern of finding fault.  If you have trouble thinking of good things about yourself, just go through the list (smart, funny, focused, etc.).  Be objective and look at yourself as if you were outside looking in.  Challenge those negative statements we all have a tendency to tell ourselves.  . . . >>> READ MORE

Back To Focus

            It is easy to lose focus at times when it comes to your goals.  It has certainly happened to me.  It takes more than a to-do list to keep track of your goals.  I have a tendency to lose the list.  That certainly does not help.  It takes persistence and dedication to reach success.  Do you take care of those goals or do you tend to have problems focusing on one thing at a time?  When you have lost your focus, this causes irritation and a lot of mental clutter.  It is time to clear out the clutter and get back to focus. 

First, be realistic when you set your goals.  If you know you are not going to make a million this month from a new product launch, getting shot down can be disappointing, to say the least.  If you know that your goals are something you can hold up, then go for it.  Do not stack up more things in a day than you can get done.  It's okay to have a thing or two that will flow into the next day.  Learn to say no when others expect you to take on more tasks than you know you can handle.  Sometimes it's just not possible to do it all.  It will only bring more emotional clutter and finding focus will get a little more difficult. . . . >>> READ MORE

Creative Authenticity

            Being creative is not just about the act of being creative with activities such as painting or writing.  The value of being creative is what happens inside you.  When you are being creative, the energy comes from the very core of your being.  Some might call this your spirit or gifts of a divine nature.  This is the part of you that is who you are, the uniqueness of you as a human being.  Life is so much duller when you are not in touch with this part of yourself.  Life loses its zest and you become directionless and maybe not interested in much of anything.
